Europa Capital today announces that Schalk Visser has joined as Partner and Head of Equity Capital Markets, with responsibility to expand Europa’s institutional relationships globally. On the back of substantial progress in its prior funds, Europa Fund III and Fund IV, Europa Capital is now launching its fifth pan-European value focused fund targeting equity commitments of circa €750 million. Europa has, since 1995, raised 8 funds and recently expanded its activities to include a UK focused Mezzanine Debt Fund currently investing and working towards a final close.
Schalk previously worked as Managing Director at AEW Europe and was a member of its Executive Committee. Prior to this, Schalk worked as Senior Director at CBRE Global Investors in London. Schalk started his career in 1994, working for a number of investment banks that included ABSA Capital and Rand Merchant Bank in South Africa.
